SAHS Implementing Program for Learning Differences
Principal LORI BARR has a number of notable credentials, including a Masters Degree in Special Education, giving her a keen sense of appreciation and understanding for students with learning differences. Lori has been working with LARRY KOMAR, parent advoate and retired member of the Commission on Special Education, California State Board of Education, and LOU CASSANI, Chairman of SAHS Advisory Board. To assist students with learning differences, a three-phased program is being developed:
Phase One: Teacher Training
Phase Two: Series of Parent Workshops
Phase Three: Training students to advocate for themselves
This innovative, effective program will provide yet another way to enhance the educational process for SAHS students, faculty, and families.
